PRE-PROFESSIONAL PROGRAMS
High Expectations & Growth
Pre-professional training asks more of a dancer than a recreational schedule. It requires consistent class attendance, attention to technical detail, conditioning, artistry, teamwork, rehearsal, feedback, and performance responsibility.
LSCD offers three distinct pathways so dancers can focus on the environment that best matches their goals while continuing to build versatility across styles.
Dedicated weekly class hours and rehearsals designed for steady technical acceleration and stamina.
Uncompromising focus on alignment, body mechanics, flexibility, strength conditioning, and clean execution.
Substantial stage time through annual showcases, regional competitions, guest showcases, and community concerts.
Individualized faculty critiques, progress assessments, and goal-setting sessions to foster artistic maturity.
Direct exposure to master instructors, industry benchmarks, scholarship opportunities, and regional platforms.
High standards of respect, work ethic, punctuality, and peer support that prepare dancers for college and beyond.
Tailored Celebrations
LSCD’s Pre-Professional Performing Company provides advanced, multi-style training for dedicated dancers ages 8–18, combining technique, choreography, performance, and competition to prepare students for college dance programs, summer intensives, and professional opportunities. Dancers build confidence, artistry, versatility, and discipline while training in a supportive, performance-focused environment.
